- Professor Nadeem Akhtar chief of pediatric surgery performed a complicated surgery on a new born which needed removal of two lobes of a lung. Children born with respiratory distress may need extensive surgery with in hours after birth to save lives. Professor Nadeem has extensive experience in handling all kind of congenital lung and chest problems. He is performing advanced procedures where chest of new born child may need to be opened up.

- 10 day old child case of left sided diaphragmatic hernia operated by Prof. Dr. Nadeem Akhtar on 17th of march. Started controlled feed on 3rd post op day . Chest tube removed on 4th post post op day. Child was discharged on 5th post op day .

About Prof Dr Nadeem Akhtar
Professor Nadeem Akhtar is a highly respected and renowned pediatric surgeon with over 37 years of experience in the field.
He has received extensive training from some of the leading centers of excellence in Europe and America, which has enabled him to develop a deep understanding of the latest advancements in pediatric surgery.
Prof. Nadeem Akhtar has worked as the Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Children Hospital PIMS and also as a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon at the Shifa International Hospital.
Currently, he is serving as a Professor of Pediatric Surgery at KRL Hospital, where he is responsible for teaching and training the next generation of pediatric surgeons.
Prof. Nadeem Akhtar has performed thousands of advanced and common pediatric surgical procedures with a success rate that is comparable to any center in the West.
